The Women's US Open is going on next weekend and a win this weekend could give us an early favorite as to how things will go.
It's a fun time if you are one of the seven at the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the Wegmans LPGA held at the Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y.
Brace yourself for the long list....Ai Miyazato, Jeong Jang, Inbee Park, Cristie Kerr, Song-Hee Kim, Soo-Yun Kang and Jimin Jeong all shot 4-under , 68 in the first round earlier this afternoon. Morgan Pressel was among seven players that were tied for eighth.
Pressel shot a 3-under, 69 for the round. Brittany Lincicome is three shots back after she hit a 1-under, 71. Michelle Wie is also 1-under after the first round. Natalie Gulbis is tied in 36th place, going even for the round today.
Kraft Nabisco champion Lorena Ochoa also finished her first round at even for the day. Annika Sorenstam finished her round, 1-over for the day.
Paula Creamer had a rough day yesterday. Creamer had three bogies, one birdie on her way to a 2-over, 74 for the round.
