NWFA Report: The playoffs are almost here

The National Women's Football Association (NWFA) 2008 regular season is finally winding down. The playoffs start next week and all eyes will be on the Los Angeles Amazons, the most dominating team in the NWFA.

The Amazons are 7-0 and have scored more points than any other team this season. This week, the Amazons will close out the season as they face the Phoenix Prowlers.

Although the Prowler's chances are slim of making the playoffs, they still have a chance to knock off the Amazons. However, with their #1 seed, the Amazons will have a bye in the first round.

I'll have the full playoff seedings set up for next week.

Here are some notable games for week 10:

Oklahoma Lightning at Austin Outlaws

H-Town Texas Cyclones at North Texas Fury

Emerald Coast Barracudas at New Orleans Blaze

Fort Wayne Flash at Cleveland Fusion

West Michigan Mayhem at Minnesota Vixens
